Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Response Program Description
Washington Adventist University is proposing to offer a new stand-alone Upper-Division Certificate in Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response. The programís focus is on emergency planning and response to mass casualties with an emphasis on community health and ethical decision-making. The curriculum integrates security and public safety issues with an understanding for service. The certificate offers education and training to support the professional development of practitioners in related fields and provide academic credentials. Students will be able to advance in the workplace for businesses, organizations and government agencies.
