MHEC to Co-Produce You Can Afford College 2010 with Maryland Public
Television
Annapolis, MD (January 6, 2010) - Through a partnership with Maryland Public
Television (MPT), and funding from USA Funds, the Maryland Higher Education
Commission (MHEC) is co-producing You Can Afford College 2010. The goal
of You Can Afford College 2010 is to deliver information tailored to
parents and students who need a comprehensive, how-to approach to finding
financial assistance. This program will provide answers to many questions and
take the guesswork out of paying for college. Segments of the show include
college students from a variety of institutions, backgrounds and majors sharing
how they are able to pay for college. You Can Afford College 2010 will
begin airing in January. The broadcast schedule is as follows:

Saturday, January 9, 2010 at
11:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. During this broadcast, viewers can call the toll
free number, 1-800-222-1292, to receive advice and assistance from
financial aid advisors.

The Maryland Higher Education Commission is a 12-member coordinating board
