MARCH 1 IS DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

 


Annapolis, MD (February 9, 2006) – The deadline to apply for most of Maryland’s need-based financial aid, including the Guaranteed Access Grant and the Educational Assistance Grant, is March 1.


To be eligible, students must complete the FAFSA, available electronically at  www.fafsa.ed.gov , or pick up paper copies of the form from libraries or high school guidance offices.


This year, the Office of Student Financial Assistance of the Maryland Higher Education Commission will award almost $95 million in financial aid to Maryland students. For more information, visit  www.mhec.state.md.us  or call 1-800-974-1024 or 410-260-4565.
