Founded in 1866, Towson University, Maryland's Metropolitan University, is the second-largest school in the University System of Maryland, enrolling more than 21,000 students in over 100 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and applied professional fields. Towson University is known for its excellent academic programs in business, computer science, health professions, education, fine arts, communications, and the arts and sciences.
