Art and Design Program Description |
The Associate of Fine Arts in Art and Design provides foundational coursework that parallels the first two years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. Students may declare multiple concentrations, creating an artistic portfolio of work for transfer to a college, university or art school. The option to study various disciplines prepares students for continued study leading to careers in a number of different fields. To that end, Cecil College is proposing to substantially modify its existing Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A.), to include the following changes:
• Offer three new areas of concentration in Art History, Interactive and Motion Arts, and Studio Arts.
• Name changes to the areas of concentration
• Add seven new courses to the areas of concentration
• Move two courses from the program requirements to electives
• Remove one courses from the program
• Remove one course from the Digital Arts Concentration
|
