Art and Design Program Description
The Associate of Fine Arts in Art and Design provides foundational coursework that parallels the first two years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. Students may declare multiple concentrations, creating an artistic portfolio of work for transfer to a college, university or art school. The option to study various disciplines prepares students for continued study leading to careers in a number of different fields. To that end, Cecil College is proposing to substantially modify its existing Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.A.), to include the following changes: <br>• Offer three new areas of concentration in Art History, Interactive and Motion Arts, and Studio Arts. <br>• Name changes to the areas of concentration <br>• Add seven new courses to the areas of concentration <br>• Move two courses from the program requirements to electives <br>• Remove one courses from the program <br>• Remove one course from the Digital Arts Concentration <br>
