Electrical Engineering Program Description |
The Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.) in Electrical Engineering is a branch of engineering that focuses on designing and analyzing components and systems that utilize electrons and photons. Electrical engineers also work in information technology and software development and function on multi-disciplinary teams. Graduates of the program will be able to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data; understand and apply the engineering design process; function on multi-disciplinary teams; demonstrate an understanding of units, engineering notations, circuit terminology, Ohm’s law, Kirchhoff’s laws, Wye-Delta transformations, AC/DC circuit analysis; Laplace transform and analysis technique, Boolean algebra and discrete combinational gates; and design synchronous sequential circuits. |
