Biology Program Description
Through engaging lab, field, and classroom activities, the Science Division at Carroll Community College seeks to provide students with the current scientific knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for their education and career goals. The major goal of all courses in the biological and physical sciences is to involve the student actively in the use and understanding of the scientific method, using a variety of instructional modes, including technology, analysis and interpretation of data, oral and written communication, information literacy, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. The A.S. degree in biology would prepare students for further study or entry level positions.
