| Nursing Program Description |
| The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Nursing is beginning revised with curricular changes of greater than 1/3 to reflect new learning outcomes mandated by the National League of Nursing. The new curriculum reflect revised outcome and new pedagogy. It also lends itself to the simulation capabilities that the new facility supports. The new curriculum provides more simulation that will better align the theory and applied clinical experiences; adds more instruction on the care of children (pediatrics); and allows for opportunities to discuss emerging trends in nursing and healthcare. Graduates of the revised program will integrate knowledge, skills and attitudes to enhance human flourishing while careing for clients, communities and themselves; demonstrate sound nursing judgement; continually develop their professional identity; and approach issues and problems with a spirit of inquiry. |
