Connect: Faith, Health and Medicine Program Description
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (P.B.C.) in CONNECT:  Faith, Healing and Medicine is designed to address the needs of employees of major health care facilities in the Baltimore metropolitan area.  The increasingly complicated nature of health care introduces a complexity of moral and ethical decisions.  Churches are often called upon to serve their congregants in various health care facilities – acute care hospitals, long-term facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and hospices.  Clergy and congregants often need preparation to offer these services.  The program emphasizes the interconnection of faith and health which can serve professional health care providers, clergy, and the individuals and families they serve.  This program has been developed using feedback from focus groups comprised of the faith community and the healthcare community.
