Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner  Program Description

The Post-Masterís Certificate (P.M.C.) in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will increase the number of certified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who can provide integrated mental health care to patients with acute or chronic mental symptoms or disorders in the context of primary care. Graduates will be prepared to practice across the lifespan from inpatient hospital to outpatient primary care settings. The program seeks to improve the health of individuals and diverse communities through leadership and excellence in education and practice. Its goal is to address mental health care needs for underserved populations in designated mental health professional shortage areas.
