Prince George's Community College
Prince George's Community College is a comprehensive community college serving more than 40,000 credit and noncredit students each year. Founded in 1958 as the first integrated school in Prince George's County, the college provides more than 200 programs designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities, assist students in developing immediate workforce skills, prepare students for careers, and meet workforce development and training needs of employers. In addition to day, evening, and weekend courses on the main campus in Largo, the college offers credit and noncredit instruction at its other locations--Andrews Air Force Base, Prince George's Community College at University Town Center, Laurel College Center in Laurel, and the Prince George's Community College Skilled Trades Center in Camp Springs. A variety of distance learning formats also are offered. The college is fully accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
