This cosmopolitan Christian college is home to high-caliber students from nearly every state and more than 30 different countries. WAU challenges students to seize a multitude of opportunities for academic, cultural and spiritual growth, and become moral leaders in communities around the world. WAU is Montgomery County's only resident four-year liberal arts college and offers certificate programs; associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees; including evening programs for adult learners. Majors offered by WAU's three schools - the School of Arts and Social Sciences, the School of Health Professions, Science and Wellness, and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies - include nursing, business, psychology, education, music, history, political studies, biology, respiratory care, and others. Pre-professional specializations offered include Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy, and Pre-X-Ray Technology. WAU's 13:1 student/teacher ratio promotes individualized instruction. Through the cooperative education program, students are placed in internships related to their majors. WAU offers campus ministries programs, national honor societies, internationally recognized musical groups, a Mock Trial Team, and NCAA Division II athletics.
