Registration Information
For Out-of-State Institutions Of Higher Education
Offering Online Education
Pursuant to the new law that took effect on July 1, 2012,
out-of-state institutions that enroll Maryland students in fully
online programs must register with the Commission. Emergency
regulations implementing this new law were adopted by the
Commission and effective on October 17, 2012. These regulations
have been permanently adopted by the Commission and went into
effect on February 18, 2013. These are posted on MHEC's
