Applied Research for Communication  Program Description

The AOC in Applied Research in Communication will teach communication professionals through coursework that focuses on the advanced levels of Bloom’s taxonomy. Students will have the knowledge and skills related to conducting original research that generates knowledge. Graduates of the program will be able to assess the research needs of a communication effort; design theory-based formative, process, and summative evaluation studies; execute qualitative and quantitative methods; analyze data using thematic, descriptive, and inferential approaches; and use results to plan and refine communication efforts.
