Accounting Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting will prepare future leaders in the accounting profession who will be able to excel in a variety of organizational settings in private, public and third (non-profit) sectors. Student will master the vital functions of accounting, understand how financial controls and transparency are integral to organizations, and dedicate themselves to lifelong learning, personal growth and professional excellence. Graduates of the program will be able to use critical thinking, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex accounting and management problems in organizations. They will be able to illustrate the ability to effectively communicate relevant financial and non-financial information to different organizational stakeholders. In addition, they will be able to identify how legal, ethical, and regulatory issues affect business decisions and apply appropriate moral, ethical and socially responsible decision-making.
