Accounting Program Description
The Master of Accounting (M.Acc.) will provide students with the additional coursework needed to achieve 150 credit hours of higher education, which will enable them to secure a license as a certified public accountant (CPA). The program will be comprised of accounting courses that provide expanded knowledge and deep grounding in technical skills. It will focus on advanced study in the major areas of accounting, including financial, managerial, information systems, auditing and taxation. Course content will be delivered with an emphasis on ethical decision making for accountants. Graduates of the program will be prepared for roles in public, corporate, managerial and government accounting. Students will also be prepared for careers in corporate finance, consulting, non-profit management and law enforcement.
