OOS Initial Application  Program Description

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership program seeks to provide educators with knowledge in current scientific research, pedagogy, and instructional technology commensurate with maximizing effectiveness and dramatically improving supervision and leadership in K-12 school settings. The program is aligned with Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards for effective leadership and it is designed to create culturally aware and competent administrators.The Master of Arts (M.A.T.) in Teaching: Elementary and Transition to Teaching Elementary Certificate program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelorís degree in a filed other than education and decide to become teachers. The program is not designed for teaches who already have initial teacher certification, other than those graduate students who have completed a Transition to Teaching (T2T) program. The Master of Arts (M.A.T.) in Teaching: Secondary and Transition to Teaching Secondary Certificate program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelorís degree in a filed other than education and decide to become teachers. The program is not designed for teaches who already have initial teacher certification, other than those graduate students who have completed a Transition to Teaching (T2T) program.
