DEVELOPMENTAL MATH FACULTY

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND (DMPD)

Developmental Math faculty members and instructors who work at institutions that participated in the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) Developmental Math Course Redesign Grant Project are invited to apply to the Developmental Math Faculty Professional Development Fund. This competitive professional development funding program supports Maryland public colleges and universities to continue implementation in developmental math course redesign by providing professional development funds to faculty and instructors who engage in that work.  Applicants must demonstrate active engagement in designing and/or teaching redesigned developmental math courses. Developmental math faculty members and instructors from the following institutions may apply:

Anne Arundel Community College

Garrett College

Baltimore City Community College

Hagerstown Community College

Cecil College

Harford Community College

Chesapeake College

Howard Community College

College of Southern Maryland

Morgan State University

Community College of Baltimore County

Prince George’s Community College

Coppin State University

Wor-Wic Community College

 

 

 

 



Award Amount:  Up to $1,500 per faculty member or instructor may be requested.  More than one faculty member and/or instructor may be awarded per participating institution. Twenty-two or more awards are anticipated. No matching funds are required.

Application Due:              No later than May 5, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.

Submit electronic copy of the completed application to Melinda Vann at mvann@mhec.state.md.us. no later than May 5, 2014, 5 p.m.  Please put DMPD application in the email subject line. A hard copy with original signature should be mailed to MHEC and postmarked no later than May 5, 2014 to:
