Workforce Data System FY 2012

The links at the top of this page contain information about the Workforce Data System (WDS) annual collection for the year July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. The WDS data file submission date is   September 4, 2012.   Use the "WDS Program List" link to view the programs required for the FY 2012 data collection.

All Exempt, and Out of State Training Providers should go to Download Forms and Miscellaneous Documents. After selecting your school name, you will be given a list of documents and forms that should be downloaded. You will also be given a list of programs your school provides that need to be reported on for the 2012 fiscal year. The worksheets in the Excel forms that you download will be preformatted with your Program Names and Unique Identifiers.

All programs eligible for WIA funding must be reported even if no students were enrolled. All students who enrolled in these WIA programs must be reported even if they were not WIA students.

Private Career Schools, Exempt Training Providers, and Out of State Training Providers

• Private Career Schools are no longer required to submit special Form 7 or Form 8 data files for WIA. As of this Fiscal Year (2012), all PCS Annual Reporting information must be submitted electronically on a CD, DVD, or Thumb Drive which include Form 7 and Form 8, so duplicate data submissions are not required. Please review the PCS Annual Reporting requirements.

• The Exempt or Out of State School Excel file should be completed and submitted on physical media. The performance information can be written to a CD, DVD, or Thumb Drive. The submitted data file does not need to be encrypted. The envelope used to mail the media should be capable of protecting the media from damage until it is received at MHEC. The media should be mailed to; Maryland Higher Education Commission, Attn: William Dowling, 6 N. Liberty Street Ground Suite, Baltimore, MD 21201.
