What & Why:

The Maryland Higher Education Commission Student Advisory Council was created in 1988, in response to a legislative directive. Its purpose is to advise the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) on the concerns, perspectives, and experiences of students attending Maryland institutions. Furthermore, this council and its members promote student perspectives through analyzing these concerns and recommending or initializing new approaches to address them.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please contact the Student Advisory Council at emily.dow@maryland.gov .
